Crowdseek Ltd
Version 3.14 • Effective 12 September 2026 • Supersedes v3.13 (7 September 2026)
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") set out the agreement between you and Crowdseek Ltd ("Crowdseek", "we", "us", "our") when you access or use our website (crowdseek.com), pilot landing pages (sleep.crowdseek.com, pilot.crowdseek.com), web app (beta.crowdseek.com; our earlier app at app.crowdseek.com has been retired), and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read these Terms and that you agree to them.
Two things to be clear about before you join the pilot
1. This is an email-based programme. Crowdseek’s pilot is delivered largely by email. By creating an account you are signing up to receive a structured series of emails as a core part of the Service: daily to begin with, becoming less frequent as you settle into the system, plus an occasional “ease back in” sequence if you stop using Crowdseek for a while and we help you restart. These emails are how the pilot works — they are not optional marketing extras. You can stop them at any time using the unsubscribe button included in every programme email, and you can leave the pilot entirely by closing your account (Section 11).
2. The pilot is for UK residents only. We only contract with people who are resident in the United Kingdom, and these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales (Section 15). When you sign up you must confirm that you are resident in the UK. If you are not a UK resident, you cannot accept these Terms and must not create an account.
1. About Crowdseek and these Terms
Crowdseek Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (company number 09560574), with registered office at 23 Westfield Park, Redland, Bristol, BS6 6LT, United Kingdom.
Crowdseek is a wellbeing app that helps you choose a meaningful outcome, build a personalised daily plan around it, and shape that plan over time. The pilot also includes movement: everyday physical activity built into your day, such as walking, mobility, and simple balance and strength actions done at home. Crowdseek includes three built-in companions — Bryn, Carys and Nia — who respond to what you record. They are software, not people, and not clinicians. Their replies are composed automatically from what you have written and the actions you have marked as done. Sharing your progress with someone you know is not part of the Service today; if we add it, it will be optional and we will ask for your consent first. Crowdseek is not a medical product. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any illness, and the content it surfaces is general wellbeing guidance only — it is not personal medical, therapeutic, nutritional or clinical advice. If you have any specific health concern, please speak with a qualified professional.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle your information. Both are linked in the footer of this page.
These Terms cover our services at crowdseek.com, sleep.crowdseek.com and beta.crowdseek.com.
2. Who can use the Service
Crowdseek is currently in pilot. Access is limited to people who, when they create an account, actively declare that they meet all of the following:
- are aged 18 or over;
- are resident in the United Kingdom — we only contract with UK residents, and these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales (Section 15). This is a condition of the contract, not merely a preference;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
If any of these is not true — in particular, if you are not resident in the UK, you are not eligible to accept these Terms, no contract is formed between us, and you must not create an account. If we discover that an account has been created in breach of this section, we may suspend or close it.
The Service is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account, and we ask you to confirm this when you sign up. Crowdseek is not designed or assessed for use by under-18s.
3. Your account
You will need to create an account to use most of the Service. When you do:
- Give us accurate information, and keep it accurate (for example, update your email address if it changes).
- Keep your sign-in method secure. We use a magic-link sign-in by email — do not share the magic link with anyone.
- Tell us as soon as you can if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. We may, where reasonable, suspend access if we suspect the account is being used in breach of these Terms or in a way that puts other users or our Service at risk.
4. Pilot status
The Service is currently in pilot. That means:
- Some features are still being developed, and you may encounter bugs or short periods of downtime. We will fix what we can as quickly as we can.
- We will sometimes ask for your feedback. You are not required to give it. Where you do give us feedback, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to use it to improve the Service. We will not attribute it to you by name without your permission.
- The Service is provided free of charge during the pilot. We publish our intended pricing on our website; no payment is taken during the beta and nothing is charged unless and until you actively choose to subscribe. Seeing a price on our website or in the app does not mean you owe anything and does not commit you to buying. If we move to a paid tier, we will tell you in advance, and you will be able to choose whether or not to continue.
- Pilot data — including which referral channels are working and how participants engage in aggregate — is used to shape what we build next.
Nothing in this section reduces any non-excludable consumer rights you have under UK law.
Beta status. Crowdseek is in beta. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn at short notice, and occasional interruptions are likely. We will not deliberately delete your plan, but you should not treat the Service as the only place your information exists.
5. Using the Service properly
When you use the Service you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that infringes someone else's rights.
- Upload or share anything that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes another person's rights or privacy.
- Try to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service — for example, by attempting to bypass authentication, scrape large volumes of data, or interfere with how the Service runs for other users.
- Use the Service to send spam, junk, or unsolicited bulk messages, including via the Crowd feature.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your relationship with anyone else.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access the Service except where we expressly permit it.
6. Your personal plan and your content
When you use Crowdseek you create a personalised plan. Your plan content — the goals you choose, the outcomes you select, the reasons that matter to you, the actions you keep or swap, your reflections, and any free-text inputs — is yours. We hold it on your behalf to operate the Service for you.
You give us a limited licence to host, store, process and display your plan content so we can run the Service for you. This licence is non-exclusive (you keep your rights), free of charge, and it ends when you close your account, except where we have a legal reason to keep certain records (for example, audit logs needed for security).
Some of your plan content is special-category wellbeing data under UK GDPR Article 9. We handle that data only with your explicit consent, only inside our own systems, and never share it with our email service provider or other third parties in an identifiable form. See Section 2B of our Privacy Policy.
Your night log is stored on the device you wrote it on and is not copied to our servers. That means it is private to you — and it also means that if you clear your browser data, switch device or remove the app, we cannot recover it for you. So that this is not simply a risk you carry, the app lets you keep your own copy: Your Crowd → Download a copy saves the whole of it as a file, built on your device and sent nowhere. We would encourage you to do that from time to time, and it is what you will use to bring your log across if you move to our app.
7. The Crowd (supporter network)
Sharing your progress with people you know is not available yet. We are still designing the consent and privacy protections it needs. If and when we introduce it, these are the terms that will apply, and we will ask for your consent before anything is shared:
- You decide who you invite. You can remove a supporter at any time.
- You choose what each supporter is allowed to see. By default supporters see a high-level picture only — not your full plan content.
- You would be responsible for whatever you chose to share, and we would ask you not to invite people who would not want to be contacted by Crowdseek on your behalf.
- Anyone you invited would have their own relationship with Crowdseek, governed by these Terms and by any messages we sent them — for example, an invite email. No such invitations are sent today.
8. The pilot email programme and other communications
The Crowdseek pilot is delivered substantially through email. By creating an account you agree to receive the email programme described below as part of the Service:
- Programme emails (core to the Service) — a structured series of emails that carry your plan, prompts and guidance. They start daily, reduce in frequency as you settle into the system, and include an occasional restart / ease-back-in sequence if you become inactive and we help you ease back in. These emails are the pilot, and are sent on the basis of our contract with you. Every programme email includes a one-click unsubscribe button, so you can stop them at any time; you can also close your account (Section 11).
- Service messages — sign-in emails, account notices, security notices, important updates about the Service. These are essential to operating the Service and are sent on the basis of our contract with you. You cannot opt out of service messages while you have an active account.
- Optional product news (marketing) — separate, occasional promotional updates that are not part of the pilot programme. These are opt-in and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email, by replying “stop”, by toggling the preference in your account, or by emailing privacy@crowdseek.com. Opting out of product news does not remove you from the pilot, and does not stop the programme emails described above.
To stop receiving the programme emails, you can close your account at any time (Section 11). Full details of how the email programme works (cadence, the reduced-frequency schedule, the restart / ease-back-in sequence, suppression and reply handling) are in Section 10 of our Privacy Policy.
If you turn them on, we send two check-in emails a day: a short prompt around the time you said you wind down, and a note the next morning inviting you to log the night. These are service messages rather than marketing, and you can turn them off at any time in the app.
9. Our intellectual property
Crowdseek owns (or licenses from others) the Service itself — the software, the design, the brand name "Crowdseek", the logo, the content we author (including the daily tips and situation guides), and everything else not generated by you. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicence or build a competing product from any part of the Service or its content without our written permission.
Nothing in this section reduces your rights to your own content, as described in Section 6.
10. Service availability and changes
We try to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not promise that it will be available without interruption. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons, or because a third party we rely on has an outage. Where we can give you notice in advance, we will.
We may change features, add or remove content, or update how the Service looks and works. We will not make changes that materially reduce your rights or the value of the Service without telling you in good time.
11. Ending your use of the Service
You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, email privacy@crowdseek.com or use the account-closure option in the Service when it is available. When you close your account, your wellbeing data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms — for example, by repeatedly breaking Section 5 ("Using the Service properly"), or by misrepresenting your eligibility under Section 2. Where we can give you a chance to put things right, we will.
Founding places. During the beta you may reserve a founding place. No payment is taken and reserving a place is not a purchase. If and when paid subscriptions begin, we will contact you first and you will be free to decline.
12. Our responsibility to you
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, as required by UK consumer law. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK consumer law.
Subject to that:
- The Service is general wellbeing guidance. It is not personal medical, therapeutic, nutritional or clinical advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Always consult a qualified professional for any specific health concern. Crowdseek is not a monitoring or crisis service. Nobody reads your night log, no one is alerted by anything you write, and no help is dispatched. The app may show you support information — for example NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123 — where what you have written suggests you need more than sleep support; that check happens on your own device and is not seen by us. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact 999, NHS 111 or Samaritans on 116 123 directly.
-
This includes any movement or physical activity the Service suggests. This is how we handle that, so you know what to expect from us and what is left to you.
What we do. We review the movement actions in our library, and where one carries more physical risk than the rest we say so on the action itself: what to pay attention to while you are doing it, and an easier version to move to instead. When movement first becomes available to you, we tell you what it is and what it is not before you start.
What we do not do. We do not assess your fitness or your health, and we do not ask you to complete a health questionnaire. The actions you are shown are not chosen for a medical condition. Nobody is coaching you. No one watches you move, checks how you are doing it, or adjusts anything for you. What you read is written for everyone, not for you.
What is yours. You decide whether an activity is right for you. If you are not sure something is suitable, ask someone qualified before you start. If you have a heart condition, a recent injury or operation, if you are pregnant, or if you have been told to take care with exercise, speak to your GP first.
If something goes wrong. Stop if an activity causes pain, dizziness, or breathlessness beyond what you would expect. If it does not settle, or it gets worse, speak to a professional who knows you and your history, such as your GP or your physiotherapist. We cannot see what is happening to you and nothing in the Service will notice.
- We are not responsible for outcomes that depend on your own choices and circumstances, or on third parties outside our control.
- We are not responsible for any loss or damage that we could not reasonably have foreseen when you started using the Service, or that is not caused by something we did or failed to do.
13. Things outside our control
We are not responsible for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example, internet outages, third-party service failures, severe weather, industrial action, government action, or anything similar.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will tell you in advance — for example, by email or by a notice in the Service. The current version is always available from the footer of this page. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer based in the UK, you have the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law where you live, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute under these Terms.

Document version: v3.14. Effective 12 September 2026; supersedes v3.13 (7 September 2026). v3.14 names movement as part of the pilot in Clause 1, and adds to Clause 12 an account of how we handle physical activity: what we check and flag at the action level, what we do not assess, what you decide for yourself, and who to speak to if something goes wrong. Document version: v3.13. Effective 7 September 2026; supersedes v3.12 (1 August 2026). v3.13 adds one sentence to Clause 4, making clear that seeing a price does not mean you owe anything and does not commit you to buying. Document version: v3.12. Effective 1 August 2026; supersedes v3.11 (1 August 2026). v3.12 records that you can now download your own copy of the night log from within the app, so the clause warning that we cannot recover it no longer describes a risk with no mitigation. v3.11 completes the change begun in v3.10: the last two sentences of Clause 7 still described the supporter relationship and the invite email in the present tense, as though the feature existed. Both are now conditional, and the clause states that no invitations are sent today. v3.10 names the three built-in companions in Clause 1 and states plainly that they are software, not people, and not clinicians; states that Crowdseek is not a monitoring or crisis service and that nobody reads your night log; reframes sharing with people you know as not yet available; and reconciles the pricing wording with the pricing published on our website. Hosted on Crowdseek pilot landing pages during the pilot; canonical version may move to crowdseek.com post-pilot.
